Strava and TAMITOS Move give activity different contexts. Strava records and shares sporting activities. TAMITOS Move connects everyday movement with collecting points and a model of support for families. As of 11 October 2026, TAMITOS is looking for a funding partner, so collected points do not yet mean paid-out euros.

You might enjoy recording a run, following a route or simply getting outside after a busy day. Every outing does not need to become a personal best. Sometimes a reason to return tomorrow matters more than a better time today.

What does each app focus on?

Strava lets people record and share activities for free, with additional features available through a subscription. It is a natural choice if you value activity records and a sporting community.

TAMITOS Move gives everyday movement another purpose. You collect points and discover families' stories. When an actual funded partner pot is available, the campaign rules can connect those points to financial support. See the current explanation on the TAMITOS Move page.

This does not mean the apps offer the same training tools. It also does not promise automatic syncing from Strava. Check the current Move app for supported movement sources and connections before relying on an integration.

What happens before a partner funds the pot?

You continue collecting points. Movement on its own does not create money that can be paid to a family. Points and euros should therefore be shown and understood separately.

Once a partner joins, the app should explain the active campaign's conversion rules and available funding. Do not estimate the value of your points from an inactive or test campaign. Ask TAMITOS if an older record is unclear.

How can a runner or a casual walker begin?

Choose an activity that fits your day. That might be a walk, a run or ordinary movement. Follow the app's current instructions and check how an accepted activity appears in your record.

For your first week, keep the plan simple: choose a convenient time, take a comfortable route, check your recorded points afterwards and read a family's story without any pressure to donate.

A family walk need not be a distance competition. Let the outing be interesting at your child's pace. You can explore the wider world through the TAMITOS characters.

Is a direct gift the same as collecting movement points?

No. A direct gift is a separate voluntary payment. Check the named recipient, purpose and amount before paying. A gift for a family's needs and support for project operations may have different purposes.

Giving should remain your choice. Collecting points through movement does not require a compulsory donation. Current stories and options are available through the Move page.

What does a company partner contribute?

A partner supplies actual money to a pot. People then use their movement and the campaign's rules to participate in how that support is directed. The budget, purpose, records and results should be clear before a campaign begins.

Companies can start through the partnership contact on the Move page. An expression of interest is different from confirmed funding.

Frequently asked questions

Is TAMITOS Move a replacement for Strava?

It depends on what you want. Strava can serve training records and a sporting community. Move focuses on movement points and a partner-funded support model. Matching features or an integration between the apps are not promised here.

Are collected points already donated money?

No. That requires an active funded pot and an actual conversion under the campaign rules. A point balance is not proof of money paid to a family.

Where can I get TAMITOS Move?

It is available on Google Play. Use the current TAMITOS download link. Check that page for iPhone availability rather than assuming a release date.

Can I explore TAMITOS without a sports app?

Yes. Start with the TAMITOS books, for example.
